Welcome to the story behind E2beauty!

Eugenia (aka Genie) started doing wedding hair and makeup for friends and a friend set up her business listing on Yelp in 2007. With the reviews and referrals of clients and friends, Genie started Eugenia Chung. Design. While attending a church small group, Genie met Elaine. Elaine expressed interest in makeup and attended MakeUpForEver Academy in Korea. When she returned from Korea, Elaine and Eugenia worked together on weddings. They had great chemistry and decided to partner in creating E2beauty after some friends (Mindy and Rika) had encouraged them to form a team. E2beauty was launched in 2013 and the “E2” stands for Eugenia and Elaine. While working out of Genie’s home studio, Genie and Elaine went to Career Academy of Beauty to further their beauty education. After receiving their cosmetology and esthetician license, Genie stumbled across Phenix Salon suites in Tustin while grabbing some boba. Elaine came on board and the two families prayed about their new brick and mortar salon. Within three days, the contract was approved and they were set to move in on November 2014.

E2beauty Lounge was opened and offered hair services, skincare, lashes, permanent makeup and special occasion services. The vision was to be a one stop shop for brides and to continue the relationship before, during and after the wedding. E2beauty’s clientele grew and diversified along with the E2beauty team. E2beauty was thriving and established in the wedding industry. In 2016, Elaine and Genie had a heart to give back to women in need. They started a campaign to donate 5% of their weddings to various organizations such as Shear Love International, Grandma’s House of Hope and Dignity not Despair.

In 2017, E2beauty experienced its greatest loss. Co-founder, Elaine had taken her own life. This tragedy brought the team closer together to support one another and helped Genie continue the business and the legacy of Elaine. In 2018, Sarah stepped up to become business partner as E2beauty expanded to the current 1250 sq ft salon and event space in Santa Ana. Through E2beauty Lounge, many new ideas and events have surfaced such as photo session packages, workshops and meetings. Thank you for following along on our journey! We are so grateful for our stories, our team and the opportunity to connect with people through our talents.
