Visual Theory & Hands On Cutting Class with Shannel Mariano

This class includes an intensive theory, demo and a hands-on portion. The goal of the class is to give you the confidence to actually "create" a haircut. No more having to memorize haircuts or having "wing" them. Instead, to be able to design and create a haircut tailored to suit you client's face shape, hair type, and style. We will do this by having a firm grasp on the fundamentals through theory using lots of visual aids. You will then be able to "see" the application of the fundamentals as Shannel demonstrates the haircut you will do on your mannequin head during the "hands-on" portion of the class.

Tools to bring:

- Dollhead with medium length hair

- Tripod

- Scissors

- Cutting comb

In this fun and interactive class, we will teach 6 dads a few basic girl's hairstyles on a mannequin head.

After practicing a few styles, the dads will compete against each other on who can finish the hairstyle the fastest! 

The true and final test will be when the daughter will get her hair done by her dad.  Daughter will choose one of the 3 styles and the dad will have to re-create the style and get the approval from his daughter.

Dads and daughters will enjoy an ice-cream social together to finish the lesson.

Class #1 (12:00-1:15pm) For Dads with daughters between the ages of 2-4 years of age {$25}

Lesson (20-25 minutes) - Dads learn lesson while daughters will have free play on face charts (How to create the perfect pony tail, mini bun and basic braid along with ideas for getting the hair away from the face + how to accessorize hairstyles

Class #2 (2:00-3:30)  For Dads with daughters between the age of 5-10 {$35}

Lesson (30 minutes) - Dads learn a more advanced lesson while daughters will have free play on face charts (Basic ponytails, buns and french and dutch braids)
